Victron Energy SolarSense 750 Wireless Solar Irradiance & Temperature Sensor – SLS300175100

The Victron Energy SolarSense 750 is a self-powered wireless PV monitoring device designed to help monitor photovoltaic system performance and optimize the use of available solar energy. It measures solar irradiance and temperature, estimates available solar power and daily yield, and communicates wirelessly for monitoring through compatible Victron systems. :

The SLS300175100 features an integrated solar panel for self-powering, a rechargeable internal battery, Bluetooth Low Energy communication using Instant Readout advertisements, IP65 protection, and onboard storage for both short-term trends and long-term historical data. It can be configured and monitored with VictronConnect and can also provide measurement data to a compatible GX device.

Key Technology

  • Self-Powered Solar Monitoring
An integrated solar panel powers the SolarSense 750, eliminating the need for a separate external power connection during normal operation.

  • Wireless Communication
Uses Instant Readout wireless communication via Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements, allowing monitoring without running communication cables to the sensor.

  • Real-Time Solar Irradiance Measurement
Measures current solar irradiance to provide real-time information about the solar energy available at the installation.

  • Estimated Solar Power & Yield
Uses configured PV installation parameters together with sensor measurements to provide expected solar output and estimated daily solar yield.

  • Temperature Monitoring
Measures sensor cell temperature and uses the configured installation temperature compensation to support PV output estimation.

  • PV Configuration Planning
Can serve as a pilot monitoring device for comparing solar yield and available power across different locations, panel orientations, and changing seasonal conditions.

  • Onboard Trend Storage
Stores irradiance, estimated power, and temperature trend data for 31 days.

  • Long-Term History
Stores up to 730 days of historical information including maximum daily irradiance, minimum and maximum estimated solar power, minimum and maximum daily temperature, and estimated daily yield.

  • VictronConnect & GX Monitoring
Supports configuration and monitoring through VictronConnect and can also be enabled as a Bluetooth sensor on compatible Victron GX devices.

  • IP65 Protection
Designed with an IP65 protection category for installation in environments requiring resistance to dust and water ingress.

Best Uses

  • PV Performance Monitoring
Provides solar irradiance, estimated output, temperature, and daily-yield information for monitoring compatible photovoltaic installations.

  • Off-Grid Solar Systems
Useful for understanding available solar power in off-grid systems where excess PV energy may be redirected to additional loads once battery charging requirements are satisfied.

  • Grid-Limited PV Systems
Helps provide information about available solar production where grid constraints or system operating conditions may otherwise leave usable PV energy unutilized.

  • PV Site & Orientation Evaluation
Can be used to compare solar conditions at different locations and panel orientations when evaluating configurations for future PV installations.

  • Remote or Difficult-to-Wire Locations
The self-powered wireless design reduces the need for dedicated power and communication wiring at the monitoring location.

  • Victron GX Systems
Suitable for compatible Victron installations where irradiance, cell temperature, estimated installation power, daily yield, and sensor battery information are required through a GX device.
