Instead, a compatible phone or tablet acts as the display through Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app, providing access to state of charge, time to go, historical information, and other monitored battery parameters. 

The SmartShunt combines a 1000A shunt, built-in Bluetooth, a VE.Direct communication port, and a multifunction auxiliary input in an IP65-rated design. The auxiliary connection can be configured to monitor a second battery voltage, battery-bank midpoint, or battery temperature when used with the optional temperature sensor.
