The Victron Energy Orion-Tr 12/12-9 (110W) is an isolated DC-DC converter designed to provide a stable, adjustable DC supply from a nominal 12V electrical system. It operates across an 8–17V DC input range and provides a nominal 12.2V output with 9A continuous output current at the specified operating condition. 

Unlike non-isolated DC-DC converters, the Orion-Tr 12/12-9 provides 200V DC galvanic isolation between the input, output, and case. It also features remote on/off control, short-circuit protection, high-temperature protection, adjustable output voltage, parallel operation capability, and screw-terminal connections. The manufacturer specifically states that this converter is not intended for battery charging.

  The 12V-input Orion-Tr model incorporates a non-replaceable input fuse as part of its internal protection design.
