The Victron Energy Argo Diode Battery Isolator 80-2SC is designed to allow two batteries to be charged simultaneously from a single alternator without directly connecting the batteries together. This helps keep separate battery banks electrically independent during discharge, so using an accessory battery does not also discharge the starter battery. 

The ARG080201000 model supports a maximum charge current of 80A and a maximum alternator current of 80A. It uses Schottky diodes to minimize voltage loss and incorporates a compensation diode that can be used to help compensate for the voltage drop introduced by the isolator.
