The Trojan Battery SSIG-06-235 is a 6-volt deep-cycle flooded lead-acid battery designed for applications that require dependable, repeatable deep-cycle power. With up to 235Ah of capacity at the 100-hour rate and 1.42 kWh of rated energy, it is a solid choice for golf carts and other deep-cycle battery systems.
Built with Trojan’s advanced lead-acid battery technology, the SSIG-06-235 features a rugged polypropylene case, embedded handles, and an embedded low-profile terminal. An optional HydroLink watering system can simplify routine battery maintenance.

At 77°F (25°C), Trojan specifies the following settings for a 6V system:
Charging voltage should be temperature-compensated according to Trojan's recommendations. As a flooded lead-acid battery, the SSIG-06-235 should not be installed or charged in a sealed or non-ventilated compartment.
The SSIG-06-235 is designed for applications where batteries are repeatedly discharged and recharged rather than simply providing short bursts of starting power. Trojan's cycle-life chart also illustrates the importance of depth of discharge: shallower cycling can substantially increase expected cycle life in stationary applications.
For storage, Trojan recommends maintaining the battery above 70% state of charge and providing a periodic freshening charge as necessary. Self-discharge is approximately 5% to 15% per month, depending on storage temperature.
This is a flooded lead-acid battery and requires appropriate ventilation and routine maintenance. Trojan specifies at least 0.5 inches (12.7 mm) of spacing between batteries when installed. At temperatures below 32°F (0°C), the battery should be maintained above 60% state of charge.
