Build a powerful home energy system with the Sol-Ark 18K-2P-N hybrid inverter and Pytes V16 16kWh LiFePO4 battery. This kit combines high inverter capacity, outdoor-rated battery storage, generator integration and closed-loop battery communication in one expandable energy-storage solution.
The Sol-Ark 18K can manage power from solar panels, the utility grid, a generator and battery storage. The Pytes V16 supplies 16kWh of nominal energy storage in a compact, IP66-rated enclosure designed for indoor or outdoor installation.
Please note: The wall-mounting bracket and battery power and communication accessories listed above are included. Solar panels, racking, the optional Pytes ground-mounting bracket, AC and PV wiring, conduit, overcurrent protection, disconnects and other site-specific installation materials are sold separately unless specifically stated.
Important Battery-Output Note
The Sol-Ark 18K inverter is rated for up to 18kW of continuous AC output. One Pytes V16 battery is rated for approximately 7.68kW recommended continuous discharge output and 10.24kW maximum continuous output. During a grid outage, battery-only output will therefore be limited by the single battery. Large homes or systems expected to operate several high-demand loads simultaneously should consider adding a second V16 battery.

A 16kWh battery can support essential household loads or larger loads for shorter periods. Actual backup duration depends on the connected loads, battery state of charge, system settings, temperature, inverter losses and the reserve capacity selected during commissioning.

This equipment should be designed, installed and commissioned by a qualified solar or electrical professional. The installer must confirm conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, disconnects, grounding, communication cabling, firmware compatibility, battery charge limits, permitting requirements and compliance with all applicable electrical and building codes.
Because this configuration uses one Pytes V16 battery, the inverter's battery charge and discharge limits must be programmed according to the specifications of the single-battery bank.
Yes. Pytes documents closed-loop integration between the V16 and Sol-Ark 18K through compatible battery communication. The correct communication cable, firmware and inverter settings must be used during commissioning.
The Sol-Ark 18K has enough inverter capacity to operate many household loads, but backup performance is also limited by the battery bank. A single V16 provides approximately 7.68kW recommended continuous discharge output and 10.24kW maximum continuous output. Large loads may require load management, support from solar or a generator, or additional batteries.
Runtime depends on how much power the home is using. Essential loads can operate much longer than central air conditioning, electric water heating, EV charging or other high-demand equipment. A professional load analysis is the best way to estimate backup duration.
Yes. The Pytes V16 platform is expandable. Adding a second battery can increase available energy and battery-bank output, but the expansion should follow Pytes requirements for battery age, state of charge, firmware, cabling and overcurrent protection.
Yes. The system can be configured to charge the battery from the grid and provide backup power when the grid fails. Available operating modes may depend on local utility rules and installer programming.
Yes. The inverter includes a dedicated generator connection and generator-start capabilities. Generator compatibility, wiring and operating parameters must be verified by the installer.
The Pytes V16 has an IP66 enclosure rating, and the Sol-Ark 18K is rated IP65/NEMA 3R. Installation must still follow the manufacturers' clearance, temperature, mounting and environmental requirements.
No. This kit includes the Sol-Ark hybrid inverter, Pytes battery and the battery accessories listed above. Solar panels, racking and other balance-of-system components can be selected separately based on the installation.
The system can be expanded with additional Pytes V16 batteries, and the Sol-Ark 18K supports a large solar array. All expansion plans should be reviewed by a qualified system designer.
