Special Technology

The IQ4-40-HOUR uses IOTA’s trusted 4-stage smart charging algorithm, extended to meet the needs of larger-capacity flooded lead-acid batteries.

Bulk Stage: Supplies full charge current for an extended period, ensuring deep-cycle batteries receive a complete recharge.
Absorption Stage: Follows with a controlled voltage to finalize battery charging
Float Stage: Holds batteries at 13.6V (or system equivalent) for maintenance without gassing.
Maintenance Mode: Engages a refresh cycle every 7 days to prevent stratification and extend overall battery life.

This controller is especially useful in systems where short bulk cycles are insufficient to fully recharge batteries before entering float mode.
