Designed to Support Domestic Content Goals

The SEG Solar T3 module is designed for projects working toward the Inflation Reduction Act’s Domestic Content Bonus Credit. T3 modules use a U.S.-manufactured frame, junction box and encapsulant, giving your project a greater domestic-content contribution than the standard T1 version.

Based on SEG Solar’s domestic-content documentation and the IRS Notice 2025-08 Elective Safe Harbor, T3 modules may contribute the following assigned domestic cost percentages:

• Rooftop system with microinverters or optimizers: 8.8%
• Rooftop system with a string inverter: 11.0%
• Ground-mount system with trackers: 10.8%
• Fixed ground-mount system: 15.3%

Is T3 Right for Your Project?

Choose T3 when domestic-content qualification is part of your project’s tax-credit strategy. It is especially useful for commercial developers, EPCs, nonprofit organizations, government entities and other buyers intentionally combining qualifying U.S.-manufactured components to meet the required project threshold.

If your project is not pursuing the Domestic Content Bonus Credit, the standard T1 module may offer a more economical option with similar core electrical performance.

Domestic-content eligibility is determined using the complete solar project, not the solar modules alone. Purchasing T3 modules does not guarantee that a project will qualify for a tax credit. Buyers should confirm eligibility with their tax advisor or project counsel. Supporting domestic-content documentation is available upon request.
