S-5! Snow Retention for Standing Seam Metal Roofs X-Gard 2.0

X-Gard 2.0 is a high-strength, dual-pipe snow retention system for standing seam metal roofs. Using an octagonal NEX pipe crossmember and a one-piece bracket that locks to standard S-5! clamps (no roof penetrations), it delivers robust, long-span performance and clean aesthetics for commercial and residential projects.

Stronger Than Round Pipe: Proprietary octagonal NEX pipe resists rotation and increases bending strength for demanding snow loads. 

Long Spans, Fewer Supports: Crossmember spans up to 48″ with up to 20″ cantilever past the last clamp, reducing attachment points. 

Non-Penetrating Attachment: Clamps to standing seams—preserves roof warranty and avoids leaks. 

Fast, Modular Install: Pipes ship in nominal 7′ 8″ lengths with integral splices; double-clamp bracket secures both pipes.

Special Technology

NEX Octagonal Crossmember: High-tensile aluminum pipe (octagon profile) provides superior beam strength and anti-roll engagement with the bracket.

X-Gard 2.0 Bracket: One-piece, octagonal bracket interfaces the two pipes to standard S-5 clamps for a rigid, bonded assembly. 

Warranty

Covered by S-5!’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, which protects against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the roof on which the product is installed.
