The GoodWe GW9600-ES-US20 ES-US Series is a 9.6kW split-phase high-voltage hybrid inverter designed for residential solar, battery storage, and backup power applications in North America.
Engineered to increase the self-consumption of generated solar energy, the ES-US platform combines PV production, high-voltage battery integration, grid interaction, and residential backup capability within one intelligent energy system.
The ES-US Series also supports an optional EV charger, multiple communication protocols, smart home integration, and compatible fossil-fuel generator integration.

The GW9600-ES-US20 incorporates comprehensive protection functionality, including PV string current monitoring, PV insulation resistance detection, residual current monitoring, PV and battery reverse-polarity protection, anti-islanding protection, AC overcurrent protection, AC short-circuit protection, AC overvoltage protection, an integrated DC switch, AFCI, battery arc-fault detection, and integrated rapid shutdown. The inverter also incorporates Type II DC and Type III AC surge protection.
The GW9600-ES-US20 provides 9,600VA nominal backup apparent power at 120/240V with up to 40A output current. When sufficient PV and battery power are available, maximum apparent output can reach 17,280VA for 10 seconds, providing additional short-duration capacity for supported loads with higher startup requirements. GoodWe specifies that an Automatic Backup Device is required for residential backup functionality.
The ES-US Series supports an optional 9.6kW AC Level 2 EV charger with selectable maximum continuous output current of 16A, 24A, 32A, or 40A. Charger configuration is managed through the app using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the charging interface uses SAE J1772. The 7.6-meter EV charging cable is ordered separately.
