The GoodWe GW5000-ES-US20 ES-US Series is a 5kW split-phase high-voltage hybrid inverter designed for residential solar, battery storage, and backup power applications in North America.
Engineered to increase solar self-consumption, it combines PV generation, high-voltage battery integration, grid interaction, and backup capability in one intelligent energy platform.
The ES-US platform also supports an optional GoodWe EV charger, fossil-fuel generator integration, smart monitoring, and multiple communication protocols.

The GW5000-ES-US20 incorporates extensive protection functionality, including PV string current monitoring, PV insulation resistance detection, residual current monitoring, PV and battery reverse-polarity protection, anti-islanding protection, AC overcurrent and short-circuit protection, AC overvoltage protection, AFCI, battery arc-fault detection, and integrated rapid shutdown. It also incorporates a Type II DC surge protection device and Type III AC surge protection.
The inverter provides 5,000VA nominal backup power at 120/240V and can reach 10,000VA for up to 10 seconds when sufficient PV and battery power are available. GoodWe specifies that an Automatic Backup Device is required for the residential backup function.
