BLUETTI Pioneer Na Sodium-Ion Portable Power Station

1,500W continuous output, 900Wh capacity and dependable operation in extreme cold

The BLUETTI Pioneer Na is designed for the situations where ordinary portable batteries are most likely to struggle. Its sodium-ion battery can charge at temperatures down to 5°F and discharge down to -13°F, making it a strong fit for winter outages, cold garages, ice fishing, snow camping, remote work and emergency use in northern climates.

It delivers 1,500W of continuous AC output from a compact 35.3 lb unit, with enough connections for appliances, electronics and 12V equipment. Fast charging, low standby consumption and more than 4,000 rated cycles also make it practical as a year-round backup power station, not just a specialty winter product.

1,500W Continuous AC output
900Wh Sodium-ion battery capacity
5°F Minimum charging temperature
-13°F Minimum discharging temperature

The 2,250W Power Lifting rating is not the continuous inverter rating. It is intended for compatible resistive heating loads. Equipment with compressors, pumps or motors must be sized using its actual running watts and startup surge.

Why Choose the Pioneer Na?

Built for Real Cold Weather

The battery can recharge at temperatures as low as 5°F and provide power down to -13°F. At -13°F, BLUETTI states that the unit retains about 80% of its discharge capacity.

Enough Output for Everyday Essentials

The 1,500W pure sine wave inverter can run many refrigerators, televisions, computers, lights, fans, CPAP machines and smaller tools, as long as total demand remains within the unit’s limits.

Fast AC and Solar Charging

AC charging reaches up to 1,400W. When AC and compatible solar are used together, total input can reach 1,900W for an 80% recharge in about 35 minutes and a full charge in about 52 minutes under BLUETTI test conditions.

Low Standby Consumption

With its outputs off, the Pioneer Na uses about 1.5W at no load. That helps preserve more stored energy when the unit is waiting for an outage or used intermittently.

Long Cycle Life

The sodium-ion battery is rated for more than 4,000 charge cycles and an expected service life of up to 10 years under the manufacturer’s stated conditions.

Useful Connections Without Extra Adapters

Four AC outlets, USB-C, four USB-A ports, a regulated 12V car outlet and a wireless charging pad cover most short-outage, camping and mobile-work needs.

Sodium-Ion or LiFePO4?

Sodium-ion is not automatically the better choice for every buyer. The Pioneer Na makes the most sense when low-temperature charging and cold-weather availability matter more than maximum capacity or battery expansion. A conventional LiFePO4 station may offer more model choices and larger expandable systems, but many LFP batteries restrict charging near or below freezing.

The Pioneer Na’s advantage is straightforward: it can accept a charge and continue operating in temperatures that often require a lithium power station to warm up or shut down charging. For normal indoor use, compare capacity, output, ports and price just as you would with any other portable power station.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I choose sodium-ion instead of LiFePO4?

The strongest reason is cold-weather charging. The Pioneer Na can recharge down to 5°F and discharge down to -13°F. Many LiFePO4 power stations restrict charging around freezing unless they have battery heating. Sodium-ion is not automatically better in every other category, so capacity, output and expansion needs should still be compared.

Can the Pioneer Na really charge below freezing?

Yes. BLUETTI rates charging down to 5°F. When the battery is below 14°F, charging may be limited to about 60% state of charge. Charging speed also decreases as the battery gets colder.

How much capacity remains at -13°F?

BLUETTI states that the Pioneer Na retains approximately 80% of its discharge capacity at -13°F and can still supply loads up to its rated 1,500W output. Actual runtime will vary with the load and battery temperature.

Can it run a refrigerator or freezer?

Usually, provided the appliance’s running and startup wattage remain within the Pioneer Na’s limits. A refrigerator averaging 150W may run for about five hours using an 85% capacity assumption, but actual runtime varies because compressors cycle on and off.

What is Power Lifting mode?

Power Lifting allows the unit to operate certain resistive heating appliances rated up to 2,250W by managing output voltage. It is not a 2,250W continuous inverter rating and is not intended to cover every motor, compressor or electronic load.

Does each AC outlet provide 1,500W?

No. The four AC outlets share one 1,500W continuous output limit. Add the running wattage of everything connected at the same time.

How does the 35-minute charging claim work?

It requires up to 1,400W of AC input and up to 500W of solar input at the same time. BLUETTI’s 35-minute estimate is for charging to 80% with the battery between 50°F and 77°F. AC charging alone reaches 80% in approximately 45 minutes under stated conditions.

Are solar panels included?

No. This standalone listing includes the solar charging cable but not a solar panel. The panel or array must stay within 12–60V DC, 10A and 500W.

Can I connect an expansion battery?

No compatible external battery expansion is listed for the Pioneer Na. Its system capacity is fixed at 900Wh. Buyers needing substantially longer runtime should consider a larger or expandable BLUETTI system.

Can it operate as a UPS?

Yes. The Pioneer Na supports approximately 20ms UPS transfer. That is suitable for many household electronics and appliances, but equipment requiring true zero-interruption power should be checked against the manufacturer’s tolerance.

Can it power my house through the electrical panel?

This product is designed primarily for plug-in loads. Do not connect it directly to household wiring. Any panel connection requires approved transfer equipment, proper circuit design and a qualified installer.

Is the Pioneer Na waterproof?

No weatherproof IP rating is published for this model. Keep it dry, allow proper ventilation and protect all cables and connections from rain, snow and standing water.

Does it have Wi-Fi app control?

The current manufacturer specification lists Bluetooth connectivity. It does not list Wi-Fi connectivity for remote monitoring away from the unit.

How long can it sit unused?

The unit has low no-load consumption, but it should still be stored according to BLUETTI’s state-of-charge and temperature guidance. Check and recharge it periodically so it is ready when needed.

What warranty is included?

BLUETTI lists a three-year limited manufacturer warranty for the Pioneer Na. Keep your proof of purchase and register the product if required by the current warranty terms.
