Specialized Final-Mile Delivery
This rack requires specialized freight because the long, heavy galvanized-steel components cannot move through a normal parcel network. The delivery plan is designed to reduce unnecessary handling and bring the shipment to the destination using equipment better suited to oversized racking.
Destinations Under 1,000 Miles
The order is scheduled on a dedicated 26-foot enclosed box truck from the shipping warehouse to the destination, with pickup photos and driver assistance at delivery.
Destinations Over 1,000 Miles
The shipment travels by LTL linehaul to a terminal near the destination, then transfers to a box truck for final-mile delivery with driver assistance.
An adult customer or installation representative must be present and prepared to help hand-unload the racking. Delivery does not include an unloading crew, forklift, crane, installation, assembly or placement around the property. Confirm that the address has safe access and turning room for a 26-foot box truck before ordering.
Shipping is based on the service required for oversized racking, not mileage alone. If you are near an available pickup location, contact US Solar Supplier before ordering to ask whether pickup or another approved delivery option is available for your order.

Sinclair’s current installation manual specifies modules with a maximum series-fuse rating of 20A and has different bonding requirements for direct-bolted and clamp-mounted modules.

Standard Structural Configuration
The standard US Solar Supplier package is offered for site requirements up to 125 mph wind and 60 psf snow, subject to the final site-specific design, foundation conditions and local approval.
Higher Design Requirements
Additional structural features may be available for sites that exceed the standard wind or snow requirements. Contact US Solar Supplier before ordering.
Ground-mounted arrays may be regulated as accessory structures. Before installation, confirm zoning, setbacks, maximum height, easements, permit requirements, electrical requirements and whether a professional engineer’s stamp is required. Local rules vary by city, county and state.
Foundation and Installation Expectations
This is a structural ground-mount system, not a tool-free backyard frame. Foundation type and depth depend on soil, frost depth, terrain, wind, snow and the final design. Sinclair’s manual describes driven C-channel posts, concrete footers and concrete ballast as possible approaches, but the final method must be selected for the project.

Call 811 a few business days before any digging or pile driving and wait for underground utilities to be marked. Installation should follow the final Sinclair drawing package, the current installation manual, applicable electrical and building codes, and local inspection requirements.
Seasonal Tilt Adjustment
The seasonal-adjust configuration allows the array angle to be changed manually from 15° to 60°. A steeper winter setting can improve alignment with a lower sun angle and may help shed snow. A lower summer setting can better match higher seasonal sun angles. Actual production depends on the site, climate, shading, orientation and adjustment schedule.
Sinclair instructs installers to adjust the jack at each post in 5-degree increments to avoid damaging the array. Seasonal changes should be completed by people who understand the rack, can control the structure safely and can verify the required hardware position afterward.
Wire Management and Long-Term Care
Ground-mounted wiring is exposed to movement, sunlight, vegetation work and wildlife. Keep conductors supported away from sharp edges, moving parts and the ground, and inspect the array periodically for loose hardware, cable abrasion, corrosion, vegetation growth and animal damage.
The optional Poly U Guard kit provides a cleaner protected pathway beneath the array using Poly U Guard sections, stainless clips and mounting hardware. It is sold separately and is especially worth considering where mowing, rodents or exposed cable runs are concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is shipping so high for this rack?
The rack includes long, heavy galvanized-steel components that cannot move through a normal parcel network. Shipping reflects the truck type, oversized-item handling, freight transfers, destination access and final-mile coordination required to deliver the rack safely. Distance is only one part of the cost, which is why a nearby destination may not price like a normal local parcel delivery. If you are near an available pickup location, contact us before ordering to see whether pickup or another approved option is available.
What happens when the rack is delivered?
The driver brings the shipment to the delivery address and assists with hand unloading. An adult customer or installation representative must be present with enough help or suitable equipment to unload the long steel components safely. Inspect the shipment, note visible damage on the delivery paperwork and take photos before the driver leaves.
Is this white-glove delivery?
No. This is enhanced final-mile freight with driver assistance, not inside delivery or installation. It does not include an unloading crew, forklift, crane, assembly, job-site placement or movement around the property.
Are solar panels included?
No. This listing includes the Sinclair ground-mount racking package and the associated unstamped site-specific plan package. Solar panels and electrical equipment are sold separately.
Will my panels fit this rack?
This configuration is intended for modules approximately 67.75 inches long and 44.60 inches wide within the listed tolerances. Fit also depends on the panel frame, attachment method and documentation. Send the exact manufacturer and model before ordering so compatibility can be confirmed.
Why does the panel’s series-fuse rating matter?
Sinclair’s current Sky-Rack 2.0 installation manual specifies modules with a maximum series-fuse rating of 20A. Many newer modules have higher ratings, so the panel data sheet must be checked before the rack configuration is finalized.
Are stamped engineering documents included?
No. The included site-specific plan package is not stamped. If your state or local permitting authority requires a professional engineer’s stamp, that service can be arranged for an additional fee.
Do I need a permit for a residential ground mount?
Requirements vary. Ground-mounted solar may be reviewed as an accessory structure and can be subject to zoning, setback, height, structural and electrical rules. Contact the local building and zoning offices before installation and confirm whether stamped plans are required.
How deep do the posts or footings need to be?
There is no universal depth. Sinclair’s manual gives average examples, including driven-post embedment of approximately 6.5 to 8.5 feet and 24-inch-diameter concrete footers approximately 6 to 7 feet deep, but the actual requirement depends on the final engineering, soil, frost depth, terrain and local loads.
What if the site has rock, roots, steep slope or poor drainage?
Pause before ordering and review the site with the installer or engineer. Obstructions and difficult soil can change the foundation method, equipment, location or project cost. The Sky-Rack is intended for low-sloped terrain, and the foundation must be selected for the actual site.
Can I install this without heavy equipment?
The rack assembly uses common layout and fastening tools, but the foundation normally requires suitable pile-driving, excavation, concrete or ballast equipment. Those tools, machines, materials and installation labor are not included.
Can I adjust the tilt by myself?
Seasonal adjustment is manual and must be controlled safely at every post. Sinclair instructs users to change each jack in 5-degree increments to avoid damaging the array. Use qualified help when needed and follow the current manual and project drawing.
Does seasonal adjustment guarantee more production?
No fixed increase is guaranteed. Adjustment can improve seasonal alignment and a steeper winter angle may help shed snow, but results depend on location, orientation, shade, weather and how consistently the array is adjusted.
What if my site exceeds 125 mph wind or 60 psf snow?
Contact US Solar Supplier before ordering. Additional structural features and engineering may be available for sites with higher design requirements.
Is the Poly U Guard wire-management kit included?
No. It is an optional add-on sold separately. It creates a protected pathway beneath the array and can help keep wiring organized and away from abrasion, vegetation work and animal exposure.
