Build a powerful home energy system with the Sol-Ark 18K-2P-N hybrid inverter and two Pytes V16 16kWh LiFePO4 batteries. This kit provides 32kWh of nominal battery storage, higher battery-bank output, generator integration and closed-loop battery communication in one expandable energy-storage solution.
The Sol-Ark 18K can manage power from solar panels, the utility grid, a generator and battery storage. Two Pytes V16 batteries provide more stored energy and greater battery-only output than the single-battery configuration, making this kit better suited for homes with larger loads or longer backup requirements.
Please note: Each battery includes a wall-mounting bracket and the battery power and communication accessories listed above. Solar panels, racking, optional Pytes ground-mounting brackets, AC and PV wiring, conduit, busbars or combiners, overcurrent protection, disconnects and other site-specific installation materials are sold separately unless specifically stated.
Two-Battery Output Advantage
Two Pytes V16 batteries provide approximately 15.36kW of recommended continuous battery-bank discharge output and up to 20.48kW of combined maximum continuous battery output at nominal voltage before inverter, wiring, system-setting and operating-condition limits. The Sol-Ark 18K is rated for up to 18kW of continuous AC output. This two-battery configuration therefore provides substantially more battery-only power than the single-battery kit and is better suited for supporting multiple high-demand loads during an outage.
This kit can be configured for several different operating goals, including:
A 32kWh battery bank can support essential household loads for substantially longer than a single 16kWh battery or operate larger loads for shorter periods. Actual backup duration depends on connected loads, battery state of charge, system settings, temperature, inverter losses and the reserve capacity selected during commissioning.

This equipment should be designed, installed and commissioned by a qualified solar or electrical professional. The installer must confirm conductor sizing, busbars or combiners, equal-length battery cabling, overcurrent protection, disconnects, grounding, communication cabling, firmware compatibility, battery charge limits, permitting requirements and compliance with all applicable electrical and building codes.
The inverterβs battery charge and discharge limits must be programmed for the two-battery bank. Both batteries should be commissioned at a compatible state of charge and connected in accordance with Pytes and Sol-Ark requirements.
Yes. Pytes documents closed-loop integration between the V16 and Sol-Ark 18K through compatible battery communication. The correct communication cable, firmware and inverter settings must be used during commissioning.
The Sol-Ark 18K has the inverter capacity to operate many household loads, and two V16 batteries provide approximately 15.36kW of recommended continuous battery-bank discharge output. Whether the system can back up an entire home without load management depends on the homeβs actual loads, motor-starting requirements, battery state of charge and support available from solar or a generator.
Runtime depends on how much power the home is using. Essential loads can operate much longer than central air conditioning, electric water heating, EV charging or other high-demand equipment. Actual usable energy is lower than the nominal 32kWh rating after reserve settings and system losses. A professional load analysis is the best way to estimate backup duration.
This kit doubles nominal storage from 16kWh to 32kWh and approximately doubles the battery bankβs available charge and discharge capability. That provides longer backup and better support for high-demand loads during a grid outage.
Yes. The Pytes V16 platform is expandable up to 16 batteries, subject to proper system design. Expansion should follow Pytes requirements for battery age, state of charge, firmware, cabling, busbars or combiners and overcurrent protection.
Yes. The system can be configured to charge the batteries from the grid and provide backup power when the grid fails. Available operating modes may depend on local utility rules and installer programming.
Yes. The inverter includes a dedicated generator connection and generator-start capabilities. Generator compatibility, wiring and operating parameters must be verified by the installer.
Each Pytes V16 has an IP66 enclosure rating, and the Sol-Ark 18K is rated IP65/NEMA 3R. Installation must still follow the manufacturersβ clearance, temperature, mounting and environmental requirements.
No. This kit includes one Sol-Ark hybrid inverter, two Pytes V16 batteries and the battery accessories listed above. Solar panels, racking and other balance-of-system components can be selected separately based on the installation.
Each V16 includes a wall-mounting bracket, one set of V16 power cables and communication accessories. The installer must determine whether additional cabling, busbars, combiners, overcurrent protection or disconnects are required for the final system design.
