JA Solar 405W DeepBlue 3.0 Bifacial Double-Glass Mono PERC Solar Panel | JAM54D30-405/MB

The JA Solar 405W DeepBlue 3.0 Bifacial Double-Glass Solar Panel combines proven Mono PERC technology with a durable bifacial, dual-glass design for dependable energy production and long-term reliability.

Designed for residential, commercial and light commercial installations, the JAM54D30-405/MB provides 405W of rated output, 20.7% module efficiency and the ability to collect additional energy from reflected sunlight on the rear side of the module.

What to Pair It With

The JA Solar 405W module can be used with appropriately designed solar equipment, including:

  • String inverters from SolarEdge, Fronius, Solis and SMA
  • Hybrid inverters such as Sol-Ark
  • Compatible microinverters from Enphase and APsystems
  • Roof-mount systems from IronRidge, Unirac and K2 Systems
  • Ground-mount systems including the Sinclair Sky-Rack 2.0

Compatibility note: Always confirm inverter input voltage, current limits, string sizing, connector compatibility and racking clamp requirements before ordering. Product family compatibility does not mean every model or system configuration is compatible.

Why Choose the JA Solar DeepBlue 3.0?

The DeepBlue 3.0 Series balances output, durability and long-term performance for residential and commercial solar projects.

Key benefits include:

  • 405W rated output
  • 20.7% module efficiency
  • Bifacial energy generation from the front and rear surfaces
  • Double-glass construction for added module protection
  • Mono PERC half-cell technology
  • Improved low-light performance
  • Reduced shading losses through the half-cell layout
  • Positive power tolerance of 0 to +5W
  • 1500V maximum system voltage

Capture Additional Energy with Bifacial Technology

Unlike a conventional monofacial panel, the JAM54D30-405/MB can generate electricity from both its front and rear surfaces.

The rear side can collect reflected sunlight when the module is installed above surfaces such as:

  • White or light-colored roofing
  • Gravel
  • Concrete
  • Snow
  • Light-colored ground cover

Actual rear-side energy gain depends on mounting height, tilt, row spacing, surface reflectivity, shading and site conditions.

Durable Double-Glass Construction

The dual-glass design uses 2.0mm heat-strengthened glass on the front and rear of the module. This construction provides strong environmental and mechanical protection for long-term installations.

  • Front static load rating: 5,400 Pa
  • Rear static load rating: 2,400 Pa
  • Junction box: IP68 with three bypass diodes
  • Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C
  • Frame: Silver anodized aluminum alloy

Built for Long-Term Performance

JA Solar designed the DeepBlue 3.0 Series to maintain reliable energy production throughout its service life.

  • 12-year product warranty
  • 30-year linear power output warranty
  • -0.350%/°C Pmax temperature coefficient
  • Stable output across a wide operating temperature range
  • Double-glass protection for long-term system reliability

Ideal Applications

  • Residential rooftop solar
  • Grid-tied home systems
  • Compatible hybrid inverter systems
  • Commercial rooftops
  • Ground-mount arrays
  • Agricultural buildings
  • Carports and canopies

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the JA Solar 405W panel bifacial?

Yes. The JAM54D30-405/MB can collect sunlight from both the front and rear surfaces. Actual rear-side production depends on the mounting configuration and site conditions.

How much additional power will the rear side produce?

There is no fixed rear-gain percentage for every installation. Mounting height, tilt, row spacing, shading and the reflectivity of the surface behind the panel all affect bifacial production.

Can this panel be used with a microinverter?

Yes, when the specific microinverter is electrically compatible. Verify maximum input voltage, operating range, input current and connector requirements before pairing components.

Can this panel be used with a Sol-Ark or other string inverter?

Yes, as part of a properly designed array. String length and quantity must be calculated using the inverter's MPPT range, maximum input voltage, current limits and local temperature conditions.

Can it be installed on a roof or ground mount?

Yes. It can be used in compatible roof, ground-mount, carport and canopy systems. Confirm the racking system's clamp zones, structural ratings and local installation requirements.

What are the panel dimensions and weight?

Each module measures 67.8 x 44.6 x 1.38 inches and weighs 57.3 pounds.

What warranty is included?

The module includes a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power output warranty, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions.
