The Tesla Remote Energy Meter is utilized in various configurations to monitor site consumption, solar production, and other critical parameters. It is particularly beneficial in setups where additional metering is required beyond the capabilities of built-in meters in devices like the Backup Gateway 2.
Voltage and Current Measurement: Accurate operation requires correct connections of the voltage line harness leads to the appropriate phases and proper placement of CTs around conductors corresponding to their respective phases (e.g., CT1 on L1, CT2 on L2).
Distance Limitations: Ensure that the meter is installed within the specified distance limits frnts to maintain accuracy. For instance, the maximum distance between the meter and the point of measurement using only the CT lead is 1.5 meters. If additional length is required, CT extensions can be used, with a combined maximum distance of up to 8.5 meters.
