The S-5! VersaGard bracket is an engineered metal roof attachment solution that eliminates the need for a traditional L-foot when installing solar PV rails on exposed-fastener, trapezoidal metal roofs. VersaGard combines the functions of an L-foot and a base plate into a single precision-formed aluminum component, allowing side-mounted rail systems to secure directly to the roof deck or structure.

A factory-applied butyl sealant is integrated into the base and protected in the patented S-5! reservoir to prevent UV degradation, drying, and cracking over time—removing the need for messy field-applied caulking and reducing the risk of leaks.

Its diagonal adjustment slot provides up to 1.75″ (45 mm) of height adjustment for precise rail positioning.

At the same time, multiple pre-punched attachment points support secure fastening into wood decking, purlins, or structural members.
